Jocelyn Turcot is a Welding Technologist for the Omniweld Integrated Solutions group in Montreal, Quebec. In 1982, Jocelyn obtained his diploma in welding metallurgy from the Cégep du Vieux Montréal. Jocelyn's principal duties within the Omniweld group include welding training, Omniweld Performance welding cost analyses, supervising the CAPTM Optima welding processes, customer welding projects and providing technical assistance to customers.

Before joining Air Liquide Canada, Jocelyn spent five years as a welding inspector for a metal manufacturing firm, “Les Produits d'Acier Métacor”, which is located in Repentigny. He took part in inspecting projects such as the alumina dust collection system, the smoke stacks for the Bécancour smelting plant, the magnesium conveyor system for the Norsk Hydro plant and various other projects. Jocelyn joined Air Liquide Canada in 1989 as a Welding Process Development Technician. Following that he held several positions within the group, including Specialized Protection Gas Development Technician, Protection Gas Marketing Specialist, Sales Representative at the Montreal Customer Center and Coordinator of the Metallurgical Laboratory where he was responsible for the certification process for Air Liquide welding products with various agencies such as CWB, Lloyd's Registered, American Bureau of Shipping and Det Norske Veritas. Jocelyn holds an international patent on the ARCAL 211 protection gas, which reduces smoke emissions in FCAW welding.
