Serge Brulé is Omniweld Integrated Solutions' welding technologist residing in Québec City and is responsible for welding services in the province of Québec. He graduated in Trois-Rivières, Québec from the Metallugical Engineering Technology CEGEP program in 1985. His primary duties inside Omniweld will include welding related training, welding cost analysis, Omniweld™ Performance, welding process monitoring, CAP™ Optima, welding projects, and providing technical assistance to clients.
Prior to joining Omniweld's team Serge was a sales representative with Air Liquide Canada in Québec City. As part of his duties as a sales representative, he also provided welder training and related services. Before joining Air Liquide in 1992 he was a metallurgical technician for different companies, including Prevost Car, Bombardier and MIL Industries.
During his tenure at Prevost Car (a coach manufacturer) he was responsible for the laboratory, involving metallurgical testing with traction devices, he also performed metallography, salt bath testing and mechanical testing. In addition, he was responsible for welder testing and welding in the shop.
Before working for Prevost Car, Serge worked for Bombardier where he performed mechanical testing of seam welds in their laboratory. Additionally, he performed their CWB testing. Prior to his tenure at Bombardier, Serge was a welding technologist with MIL Industrial, where he performed non-destructive testing, including magnetic particle testing, ultrasonic, X-ray and gamma ray testing.
